About the Program
The examination for International Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP[INT]) complies with the principles of Good Medical Practice (General Medical Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) and The Code of Medical Ethics (Ministry of Health of the United Arab Emirates). The examination was re-accredited after a visit in November 2022 by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). The examination for Membership is a credit accumulation examination. Each is available twice a year and held each Spring and Autumn. After you complete your exam, you will obtain certification and will be an RCGP International Member. As an international member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, you are part of a global community of practitioners who share your commitment to excellence and your dedication to providing the highest quality care to your patients.
This exam is a rigorous and comprehensive assessment of your knowledge, skills, and competencies as a general practitioner. It is a crucial step in your professional journey and I am confident that you have prepared well for it. I would also like to remind you that our examiners are dedicated professionals who are committed to ensuring that the exam is fair and consistent. They will be assessing your performance based on a set of predetermined criteria.
Finally, I would like to wish you all the best of luck. I hope that you find the exam to be a rewarding and valuable experience.
MBBS Candidates
Candidates must either:
- Completed a recent, continuous 3-year experience as a GP (unsupervised) in a primary care setting.
- If you are under the Residency Program of Family Medicine, a minimum of 3 years full-time, (or the equivalent part-time), as an independent (i.e. unsupervised) primary care (Family Medicine Practitioner) in a primary care setting.
Candidates must be active primary care (Family Medicine) practitioners at the time of their application.
Candidates who fulfill the above criteria are eligible for the examination regardless of their gender, ethnic origin, nationality, or religion.
***The final decision as to a candidate’s eligibility rests with the MRCGP International Examination Board of Dubai.
Required Documents
The online application form is the official and only means to request to enroll as a student at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences. All fields must be carefully filled as per the guides provided. Inaccuracies may lead to disqualifying of your application.
Applicants are advised to:
- Read the entire application form before filling in any details
- Some fields have specific guides in the filling box. Please follow those guides carefully
- Have the following documents scanned in color and ready to upload in PDF format:
- Recent colored photo (with white background in high-resolution format)
- Valid passport copy
- Emirates ID Card – front (if applicable)
- Emirates ID Card – back (if applicable)
- Medical License
- Curriculum Vitae
- Qualification (TOR and Diploma)

Refund Policy: Withdrawals/Postponing
Candidates may withdraw their application for examination, but their examination entry fees will be abated as shown below:
- 25% will be deducted from your full payment if you withdraw your application more than 4 weeks before the date of the exam.
- 50% will be deducted from your full payment if you withdraw your application between 2 to 4 weeks before the date of the exam.
- 75% will be deducted from your full payment, if you withdraw your application between 1 to 2 weeks before the date of the exam.
- Your full payment (100%) will be forfeited (deducted) if you withdraw your application less than 1 week prior to the date of the exam.
