Sustainability is a top priority at MBRU. In alignment with the Dubai Government’s sustainability plans and through the MBRU Go Green initiative, we aim to help preserve the environment. From reducing the environmental impact of printing by encouraging students and employees to go paperless to enabling our employees to avoid single-use plastic, using our branded refillable water bottles and recycled bags.
To make MBRU an eco-friendly university, we have launched a few green initiatives such as Recycled Bags, Refillable Water Bottles and Going Paperless.
In support of Dubai Government’s policy to limit single-use bags, and ahead of the new rule on single-use bags beginning July 1, 2022, we have made the switch to recycled bags.
In support of the Dubai Can initiative, we eliminated all single-use plastic water bottles on-campus. All our employees were given refillable water bottles instead. As of today, we have saved around 7000 plastic bottles.
In line with the Smart Dubai Paperless Strategy for 2021, the Smart Services team at MBRU launched the Go Paperless initiative to reduce printing on-campus.
