An experienced panel of MBRU faculty and staff will then review completed applications against our published minimum requirements. Qualified short-listed candidates will be invited for on-campus multiple mini-interviews (MMI) planned for late February. Candidates who are not invited for interviews will be notified at that time with a regret notice.

MBRU plans to offer 70 students. Of the 70 planned offers, 50 will be available to all nationalities (UAE and non-UAE) and 20 additional offers will be slotted for qualified UAE nationals. Admission to the MBBS program is competitive. In the past few years, about 1 in 5 applicants were offered a position.
The duration of the program is six years.

Nursing is essentially about meeting the needs of patients and their families and education programs for nurses fosters the continued development of critical thinking skills to enable the registered nurse to respond to the health care requirements of patients and their families. Postgraduate programs of study for nurses are designed to enable registered nurses to build on their existing knowledge and nurture the skills necessary to potentially move towards a specialist clinical nursing role and provide individual options as their nursing career continues to develop. The College of Nursing and Midwifery, MBRU has a unique partnership with Queen’s University of Belfast and the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. The College of Nursing and Midwifery MBRU have formed a unique international academic, scholarly and clinical relationship that underpins our two MSc programs. The MSc Cardiovascular and Pediatric nursing include specialist and core courses/modules that are delivered for our students by esteemed academics from the two universities; and to support the internationalization of these two programs prospective students will have the opportunity to undertake a twelve week period of clinical nursing practice in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and provide nursing care supervised by a specialist nurse.

Endodontics Residency Program
Postgraduate students are not eligible for stipends.
Maximum two students per program per cohort.
The Saudi Board of Endodontic Program Curriculum is the official curriculum for this program. Details of the curriculum can be found here
The MBRU Endodontic residency program is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). Therefore, residents are eligible to take the Saudi Endodontic Board examination. The Saudi Specialty Certificate in Endodontics issued by the SCFHS is recognized by the UAE PQR as Tier 2 qualification.

Yes. The shared links and information on housing include contact details, emails and links to tour the facilities. You have already received links to the different recommended private student accommodations.
Student Council elections will be arranged online like any other activity and details will be announced by the Student Services and Registration Department. Students in their first year will be eligible to apply for the elections.
We will notify you of such tests if necessary if the Ministry of Education or other local authorities require conducting of pre joining tests.
Anatomy can be effectively taught using a number of teaching methods. The lab session is just one of many teaching methods. If no students are allowed on campus for health reasons, we will use other methods to teach the subject. This will apply to all other subjects having Labs.
A finance committee will study such requests. Generally, the student is refunded if the candidate was denied entry visa, international flights cancelation due to pandemics, or if the UAE law does not grant permit to stay as a result of any unexpected medical condition or illness.

You can apply for the medical insurance if you have accepted the admission offer and paid the seat reservation fees. A basic medical insurance is provided by the university.
Entry Permit Visa and the Residency Visa are issued by the university free of charge.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Entry Permit Visa is pending until further notification from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. We will communicate with students once updates are received from the concerned department.
The university provides international students who have accepted the admission offers, paid seat reservation fees and cleared all academic conditions (if any), with an Entry Permit Visa. Once the student joins officially as per the program start date in August, the Residency Visa will be issued.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, most of the student activities and club activities were launched virtually using the available digital platforms. Depending on the situation at the beginning of the new academic year, the office of Student Life will be announcing such activities for students’ engagement and participation via emails, SMS, student groups and university social media platforms.
Food outlets will remain open to cater for students and staff needs following extreme measures of safety and hygiene.
Aligned with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE directives, all standard safety measures will be implemented to ensure students and staff safety and wellbeing. Yes, a virtual campus tour is available on our website. We are working on plans for next year if the open house is to be online. All updates and details will be posted on our website.
As part of the orientation plan, pre-orientation group meetings or a panel discussion will be arranged with Student Council members and Class Representatives to share their experience at MBRU with the new joiners.
So far, the dates are fixed, and changes have not been considered.
There are a few scenarios that we are considering for the start of the First Semester. Depending on the scenario we adopt, orientation will be decided. It could be virtual or on campus with COVID-19 safety precautions being implemented. Students will be informed once it has been decided.
The Helpdesk Office at MBRU will be active all the time and can be contacted via email, telephonically or through Teams to troubleshoot problems and resolving them remotely.
You do not have to worry about your final performance results as all students around the world are facing the same situation. We recommend that you contact your school counselor and discuss your concerns with him/her.
There is a newly introduced TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition test (TOEFL Test Takers), where you can take the test from home. More details on the TOEFL test is provided here – TOEFL® Institutions.
We will use the same certificates issued by your examination board/school to determine whether the applicant meets the criteria or not.
Applicants have until the beginning of the academic year as per the program start date to submit the medical form. Hospitals are taking every measure to ensure the safety of patients/visitors and it should be safe to visit and conduct the required tests.

Students are expected to be completing all their course requirements and attending their online classes. Therefore, any work commitments should not conflict with their studies.
We know that the current situation has impacted all citizens of the globe in many aspects and our students and their families are not an exception. Note that although there will be no change in the tuition fees, there will be flexibility and lenience of payment deadlines which can be discussed and agreed on with the Finance Department.
Students will have accounts created to access the online database and e-books. The access will be shared with students via MBRU email account.
Enrolled students can approach the Helpdesk Office at MBRU in order to assist and install the required software. This process can still be performed remotely.
All enrolled students will have access to the Learning Management System (LMS) and Microsoft Teams. User credentials will be shared with applicants via email.

Kindly be informed that since the current situation is unpredictable, we are getting prepared for different scenarios which also include online learning. Yes, trainees are required to complete and pass all the online quizzes before module 2 (hands-on practice). If they do not pass all the online quizzes before module 2, they will have another chance to repeat online quizzes and pass them before module 4.
During Modules 2 and 4, trainees are required to attend two days of face-to-face hands-on sessions to develop and refresh their skills. In force majeure circumstances that may affect the trainee’s ability to attend the hands-on sessions, special arrangements may be provided for the trainee to make up for the missed sessions after the approval of the program training committee. Applicants must provide valid supporting evidence to be considered by the training committee.
From module 2 to module 5, review and feedback by faculty will be available via an electronic platform.
This program extensively uses the MBRU learning management system (LMS) for publishing reading material and multimedia, as well as communicating with learners and submitting assignments. To access the LMS, you must have a web browser, and you will need your username and password (received upon registration). The program coordinator will be the main point of contact for any technical assistance.
If the trainee is unable to complete the e-Portfolio prior to competency assessment, he/she will be granted a maximum of 6 months extension to complete the e-Portfolio and submit all requirements.
Trainees will be able to save all the images they obtain during the face-to-face practice in module 2 & 4.
During module 3 & 5, trainees are required to have access to an ultrasound machine in their clinical workplace to practice POCUS scans. The POCUS scans must be saved in the machines and exported to a USB and then uploaded in an e-Portfolio. The scans should not include any patient identifiers. Trainees must sign a declaration form during the program application process emphasizing the importance of patient confidentiality and that the e-Portfolio POCUS scans are for educational purposes only and will not replace or interfere with usual medical care.

This program is intended for practicing healthcare providers (interns, residents, fellows, physicians, nurses, and paramedics) who want to learn Point-of-Care Ultrasound. The program is geared primarily towards providers who care for acutely ill patients.
The program is designed to provide trainees with the knowledge and skills in 5 basic POCUS applications, namely Lung, Cardiac, Trauma, First Trimester and Abdominal Aorta.
One year of study delivered in a hybrid blended format over 6 modules.
You will receive feedback from the faculty from module 2 and continue through module 5.
Obtaining competency in POCUS requires bedside scanning practice. This program is designed to provide trainees with comprehensive hands-on practice opportunities under direct faculty supervision during the face-to-face sessions in module 2 and module 4. In addition, trainees will have the opportunity to foster self-directed learning by completing an e-Portfolio of the POCUS scans from their clinical workplace. The e-Portfolio will be reviewed by a faculty member and trainees will receive feedback. The program will provide trainees with an educational experience that will foster ongoing scanning practice that places emphasis on high-quality image acquisition.

At HBMCDM, postgraduate students are not eligible for stipends.
HBMCDM can accept applications from transfer students for the postgraduate programs. Their applications will be treated like all others. If the applicant meets the selection criteria, the Admissions team will review the courses completed at another university and will decide if the applicant is eligible for transfer of credit. The selected applicant will be notified of the decision.
The annual tuition fee is AED 160,000 (for UAE and GCC nationals) and AED 185,000 (for international applicants), payable in two installments (by the beginning of each semester) either by cheque or bank transfer.

Any documents saved on the C-Drive will automatically be deleted when the computer turns off. You may copy the documents on any external hard drives or copy to the temporary folder available on the T-Drive. Consult with the Library staff for assistance.
EndNote Citation Manager software is available on all the Library computers.
Printing and photocopying facilities are available only for MBRU students, faculty and staff.
Consult the Library Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) for the location code to find a book. The Library uses the National Library of Medicine Classification Scheme to arrange books in subject specialties. Shelf guides are available on the book stacks for ease of reference.
The Library catalog is the starting point of all book searches in the Library. Patrons may search by keyword, title, author, subject, or ISBN. Library staff are available at the information desk to help locate books in the Library’s collection.
You may consult with Library IT to install a program on a Library computer, however, it will automatically delete when the computer turns off.
Information desk staff will provide the username and password. Library staff will also assist you to configure wireless network options on your laptop or any other mobile devices.

Graduate Medical Education
Our training programs are running across DAHC facilities, which include Rashid Hospital, Dubai Hospital, Latifa Hospital, Hatta Hospital, Primary Healthcare Centers, Specialized Centers, Medical Fitness Centers, Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital and Dubai Dental Hospital.
Trainees are expected to start as per the training calendar.
Trainees are entitled for one specialty transfer during their training duration.
Offer acceptance is through the online application. This portal will have everything related to your enrollment and/or items that need to be completed before the first day of classes.
Internship students can apply to the residency program during their training, given that they complete the program by September before the beginning of the academic year. For application purposes, candidates will need to submit a ‘To Whom It May Concern’ letter confirming their enrollment in the Internship year and the expected completion/graduation date in order to consider their application.
Admission to graduate medical education is open to all nationalities.
If the candidate doesn’t agree with the calculations, he/she can log in to the application and submit an objection online along with the rationale within 48 hours. The committee will review the request and revert with the decision.

The duration of your MBRU scholarship lasts until you graduate, as long as you maintain good academic standing which is CGPA of 2.00.

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) metro station is just a few minutes walk from the Simulation Center.
There are various paid parking areas available within walking distance to the Simulation Center.
The Simulation Center is located on the second floor of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Building 14, DHCC, Dubai, U.A.E.
Catering is provided for most courses. In addition, separate catering outlets are located in the building. Please inform us of any dietary requirements such as allergies.

For American Heart Association (AHA) courses the certificate will be ready within 20 working days where as for other courses the certificate will be issued at the end of the course.
All courses are CME (Continuing Medical Education) accredited. Please refer to individual course details for the exact number of CME hours for that particular course.
