CDC-NIH/NIAID-MBRU Joint Conference – April 26 – 27, 2024
The United States (U.S.) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH/NIAID), and Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) Joint Conference: Research and Public Health Priorities in the MENA Region: Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic and Future Preparedness, in Dubai, UAE, intends to bring together regional experts from the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) and the U.S. to disseminate and discuss lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, and enhance regional partnerships to accomplish shared health goals. This event will highlight shared regional priorities in preparedness and response to infectious diseases and other health threats, with an aim towards strengthening global health security and fostering enhanced research collaborations, especially in the area of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
